Following the Yabonga Coaching Clinic which the club hosted a couple of weeks back, there has been a new segment of supporters for the Peoples’ Team’s home games at the Athlone Stadium.

Below is an e-mail received after Friday night’s game against Black Leopards:

 

“Even though the Yabonga Supporters arrived a little late because of "trouble on the roads" , when they entered the stadium, everyone knew that Yabonga had arrived! 

They entered the stadium with such gusto and celebration , singing praises to Santos!! Everybody looked right... and the crowd was silent! Even the TV commentator (Dstv SS) remarked more than once about "the Santos supporters burst out in song" which apparently was something new for Athlone Stadium,and Santos home games.

Our people really enjoyed themselves and made the atmosphere lekker! This change in environment ,even if its just for 90 odd minutes is good for us! We sing,shout,yululate and feel all different emotions in 90 minutes! What more can we ask for? 

Thank you Santos.... Yabonga brought you luck! The game was fast-paced and entertaining. Scott was the cracker of the evening! Well done! “
