UPCOMING GAMES - 16 APRIL

Currently occupying third position, Engen Santos have a great chance to mount a serious challenge for title honours.

While coach David Bright is certain to be focussing solely on his side’s performances and not expecting any favours from other teams, the Engen Santos website team will be keeping readers up to date with PSL fixtures and results from around the country, for the rest of the season.

We kick off our new 'PSL UPDATE' series by focussing on today’s (Wednesday 16 April) three PSL fixtures.

3-00pm : Welkom Rugby Stadium
Free State Stars v Ajax Cape Town

An interesting game – a win for Stars will bring them right back into the title race with 38 points, while a win for Ajax will see them move to within a single point of SuperSport United. Santos’ interests would probably be best served with a draw. A win for Stars could also serve to add motivation ahead of Sunday’s Nedbank Cup clash with Santos.

7-30pm : Loftus Stadium
Sundowns v Thanda Royal Zulu

The Brazilians will be looking to push their way into the top eight, while Thanda are running away from relegation – this game us unlikely to effect Santos.

8-00pm : Bidvest Stadium
Bidvest Wits v Platinum Stars

The Peoples’ Team will be backing Platinum Stars for this one as Roger De Sa’s team are only five points behind Santos and have a gave in hand.
