I have special reason to feel very positive as I look at the Absa Premiership log and see that we have finished in third position on the log.

Together with this, so many of the club’s goals and ambitions have been realised.

We decided to rebuild the team, bringing in some young talent. We persevered with the youngsters and they progressed and matured as the season went on, both physically and mentally.

A football club, however, also has to learn lessons from the past. And while we have done very well this season, we have also identified areas we have come short and need to improve on. We will take note of these things and endeavour to improve on it.

Last of all, finishing third is great for us as a club, yet perhaps I should still mention that we had a superb opportunity to capitalize on the failures of other teams when they opened the door for us. Unfortunately we couldn’t capitalize… but therein lies another lesson for us.
