In the process, Santos managed to miss two penalties - Erwin Isaacs and Eleazar Rodgers - something which Bright is obviously not happy with either.
But the defeat has already been forgotten and Bright is now focused on Santos' next game, which is an Absa Premiership encounter against newly promoted Bay United at Athlone on September 12.
"We were very poor in the first half against Wits on Wednesday night," said Bright.
"The players looked jaded and lethargic. But at least we got it together in the second half when there was a lot more effort and purpose about our play.
"Unfortunately we missed two penalties, which could have given us a point.
"But all that's in the past now. We will have to learn from the defeat and prepare accordingly.
"Our next match is at home and we will go back to the drawing board and rectify where we went wrong.
"It was our first league game of the season, so there's no cause for panic.
"We just have to keep working at it and everything will fall into place."
