1.) Santos FC Ladies

Santos FC Ladies had a victorious match on Sunday, 19 th April 2009. They have beaten Exceptional 7-1, with Danielle Clayford putting 6 goals in the net. The other goal scorer was Jermaine Seopsenwe.

Comment from Coach Faizel Adams:

“The girls did well once again in very difficult conditions. We just need to continue piling the pressure on UWC, the current log leaders. Danielle Clayford exceeded in scoring 6 goals and therefore is my definite player of the week.”

2.) Santos FC Academy Teams

All the Academy Teams played official friendlies against Woodlands, in Strandfontein over the weekend.

Coach Keith America’s U/15 Team have beaten Woodlands 3-0, with nominated U/17 National Team Squad Player, Zaahid Van der Schuyf scoring an excellent hat trick. According to Coach Keith the opposition did not do that great. “I have decided to revert to two touch football, in order for the team to gain confidence in playing together”, a proud Coach, Keith America confessed.
