Gester Finds Comfort In The Santos Family

Team manager Yusuf Gester is finding strength from the Santos FC family following the loss of his Mother, Miriam Gester, yesterday (Monday 7 September 2009)

Mrs Gester passed away only a month after her husband, Ebrahim, passed on.

Yusuf says that the devastating blow has been softened by the love and support he is receiving from all at the club.

I would just like to send a message of thanks to all at Santos – the directors, staff and players have all been incredibly supportive during these trying times.

”We really appreciate the close and very evident support – indeed the family bond, which we have felt from all at the club.

”My special thanks to the chairman and his wife – Mr Goolam and Mrs Malika Allie, and their sons, and also especially to the players – all the support we have received is wonderful and much valued by my family,” said Gester.
