Q & A with Orlin Powell

Santosfc.co.za chats to Orlin Powell, the midfielder-cum-striker who has forced his way into the side on a regular basis after signing from Second Division side Milano.

1. The spirit in the camp looks good, and goal’s are being passionately celebrated. What is the reason behind this?

I think it is due to the fact that the guys are starting to understand one another’s play and their personalities. As for the celebrating, it is because we all have passion for our team and for the jersey.

2. What has been for you the moment of the season so far?

Definitely the fighting spirit we showed against Golden Arrows and the win against our rivals Ajax Cape Town. These two moments stands out as the best for me, this season.

3. Best goal scored by Santos this season?

Our goal against Mpumalanga Black Aces by Erwin Isaacs. (A brilliant direct free kick)

4. Your personal feeling on your own form so far this season?

I feel that my form so far, is fairly good, but I know that I can and will still improve on it.

5. Which three PSL teams do you think will challenge for league honours?

Orlando Pirates
SuperSport United
Santos - As long as we stay focused in the game and give it our all

6. Best goal you have seen scored in the PSL?

Wits’ goal against Sundowns, scored by their Brazilian Midfielder.
