ENGEN U11’S 3-ON-3 CHALLENGE: Football Fever Hit Stellenbosch!

Engen once again presented an exciting U11 3-on-3 Challenge - this time round at Rietenbosch Primary in Cloetesville, Stellenbosch.
The event took place on the weekend of the 7th and 8th of November.
The programme kicked off at 9am with the Engen U11’s3-on-3 Challenge games and ran until 3pm.
Sixteen under-11 teams competed for the coveted title and prizes on a mini-football pitch.
Among the teams were hosts Rietenbosch Primary, Bruckner De Villiers Primary, Kayamandi Primary, Weber Gedenk NGK Primary, Koelenhof RK Primary, Glen Eagles FC, AC Milan FC, Maties FC and Mighty Peace FC.
In association with Mike’s Sports, the winning team, Maties FC, walked away with a set of team kit, with the runners-up - Rietenbosch Primary receiving a set of training equipment.
All the entry fees were donated to Engen’s beneficiary, the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.
The fans and players had the opportunity to get an autograph signing and photo snap with the People’s Team, when they made an appearance on Sunday, 8 November 2009.
Engen Santos were represented by the likes of Craig Bianchi, Lee Langeveldt, Zairon Van Beulen, Bevan Fransch, Eleazar Rodgers, Tyren Arendse, Tony Tsabedze, Boitumelo Mafoko and coach Boebie Solomons.
