Back to Business for Peoples’ Team

3 February 2010

Santos face a tricky visit to Qwa Qwa this afternoon, where they face Free State Stars in an Absa Premiership fixture.

Looking to keep the pressure on the three teams above them on the PSL table, the three points on offer could be crucial to Boebie Solomons and his men.

It won’t be easy though against a side coached by former Santos manager Gordon Igesund, who are looking to climb off the foot of the table.

“All the games for the rest of the season are going to be tough ones, starting with Stars, who are always tough to beat in their own backyard.

“It’s a big game for us because a good start will give us the push we need. At Santos we have ambitions of our own and are hoping to spring a surprise – we have trained hard in the last couple of weeks and the players are ready to give their all in the closing stages of the season,” says captain Mogogi Gabonamong.

Both sides are expected to have full strength squads for the game.
